June 18th, 2015: Hans-Bernd Kamps are Jörg Michaelis are tracking down their former #TO 001 [1993 Porsche Carrera Cup M001, type 964].
„We would love to retain our very first Carrera Cup Car, the chassis #TO 001“, states its former driver/owner Hans-Bernd Kamps, „and we would love to track down our other Carrera Cup Cars out of that time gone by as well!“
Back in 1993, Hans-Bernd Kamps and Jörg Michaelis from Lohne, Germany, founded Tolimit Motorsports, a raceteam specialized on Porsche One-Make Series like the Carrera Cup as well as the Supercup. That time, they built up their own Porsche 911 M001 from a fresh bodyshell, a car which acquired the chassisnumber TO 001 – a reminiscence to the newly forged raceteam’s name Tolimit Motorsports. The car began its lifespan in the green and blue colours of Franz Konrad Motorsports. 1994, it was converged into black, yellow and bright pink under the banner of Radio Advert. Later on, that car was sold in order to achieve funding for the all-new Porsche 911 M001, generation 993.
Nowadays, Tolimit Motorsports has changed into Project 1, commonly known for its basically yellow painting in the main colour of Deutsche Post. Hans-Bernd Kamps and Jörg Michaelis, racers by heart, are getting more mature now. As a matter of fact, they are seeking their own origins by heart as well. “We would love to get our very first Carrera Cup Car, the chassis #TO 001, back”, states its former driver Hans-Bernd Kamps, “and we would love to track down our other Carrera Cup Cars out of that time gone by as well!”
Any hint will be well appreciated.
